Water landscaping in Xesta in the next magazine issue of “A Pedreira”

a-pedreira-a-lama

Hello!

We have received an invitation from the Oficina Municipal de Información Juvenil (OMIX) of the A Lama parish to collaborate in their cultural and informative magazine “A Pedreira”, through the drafting of an article about the inventory of all the hydraulic mills at the Xesta’s River. As you might remember, this work has been gathered in our initiative “Waterlandscaping in Xesta”.

We have started this work in order to produce a high quality article that will continue feeding this channel for all our region neighbors.

We hope you have an excellent week!

Best regards from BUO Arquitectura!

PRADOS CHAPEL INTERVENTION

CAPILLA DOS PRADOS_BUO ARQUITECTURA

Hello,

Today we have updated our web page content’s with a new project: “Dos Prados Chapel Intervention”

The project is a clear example of an architectural intervention of a 20th century religious building, which was lately modified in the sixties by changing its geometry and causing the leaking of rain water into the chapel.

We are very glad with the result and to have the opportunity to work with Construcciones Jaime Cortegoso and Cuberzinc.

We hope you enjoy it!

SAKACHIMALI, A NEW GARDEN AT THE DESIERTO DE LOS LEONES

Hello,

Today is a very important day at BuoArquitectura: We have received an invitation from across the Atlantic Ocean by Paul Cremoux studio to design the landscape of a new house located in Mexico City.

The Mexican firm that Paul Cremoux Wanderstok manages is currently designing a new house, southern of Mexico City, close to the National Park Desert of the Lions, an important area with a valuable landscape.

So far we have decided to pay homage to this new garden by naming it Sakachimali, a Nahuatl word which means “shade of a tree”, due to its number of trees and gloomy character.

We feel absolutely happy with this new collaboration with Paul Cremoux studio. We are confident that we will reach a great result!

SAL Y LAUREL, A NEW CONCEPT OF FISH MARKET

Hello,

We would like to share with you one of the most recent and passionate work that has arrived to BUO Arquitectura: The integral remodeling of a ground floor commercial space for a Fish Market in Nigrán.

We are working together with Sal y Laurel, and we are so happy that we have “put on our boots” and try to understand all the needs that such an amazing and complex space has, as a Fish Market does.

We hope that the result of the project would show in a clear and simple way what the products of Sal y Laurel represent: freshness, quality and Galician identity.

Water Landscaping in Xesta

Hello,

Today is a very important day for BuoArquitectura because after more than two years of work and great effort we have everything just ready for the opening of the exhibition entitled A paisaxe da auga de Xesta (Water Landscaping in Xesta). This exhibition shows part of the ethnographic inventory of Xesta’s hydraulic river mills.

For this exhibition, we couldn’t have chosen a better place than such an idyllic landscape where all the mills are located, A Carballeira dos Prados, within Xesta’s parish.
From our studio, we would like to thank both the Diputación de Pontevedra, as well as the A Lama City Council for making the development of this work possible.

I would also like to thank all the members of the team, who have joined me all these months: Bernardo Carballal, Pierre Chauvency, Tania Galán, Ignacio Lorente and Pepa Zelada.
Attached, you will find the exhibition flyer, so you could join us in this exhibition whose main objective is to disseminate our national heritage and promote social cohesion. The exhibition will be open all August.

Best regards from BUO Arquitectura!
